Years ago we had record players in cabinets. Our was a stack-o-matic. Today these type record players are all in a separate case, I want the stack-o-matic changer to use as a component. Is there any alternative other than buying one in a case and having it remounted?

A staph infection would have spread a lot more than that over the course of a year. I don't think it's an STI/STD however, your best bet would be to go get it checked anyways. Some infections can cause permanent damage and you don't really want to risk that. Besides, if you are ually active, you should be testing yourself for STDS/STI regularly.

Could i have broken a sewer line while digging my garden?

I live in a duplex and was digging by the side of my house today about 8 inches deep. i noticed by the side of the house was a concrete slab jutting out about four inches from the side of the house. I kept digging in front of it, and for a minute i thought i smelled something nasty. Later on my neighbor was standing in front of my yard and remarked " Something smells like dookie out here". Am i just being paranoid or is it possible i busted a sewer line or something equally as bad? I dug without my landlords consent, so now i'm really worried i've done something terrrible and expensive to fix, not to mention i had my bare hands in poo. possibly. please please help!

Why is it that I'm so lucky?

I mean, I live in the wealthiest nation in the world. I eat when I want to. I know no shortage of food or clothing, nor do I have to worry about diseases, war, or persecution. Why is it that I get to live in such luxury, but some kid my age in Africa gets nothing. I was thinking about this and it really disturbed me. I have a baby brother who is nine months old. He's the happiest little boy you'll ever meet. But I just thought it was kind of unfair that he gets the loving parents, healthy food, and enrichment toys, but there are thousands of kids his age who might not be able to get enough nutrition out of their next meal to survive. i need help. my life is being ruined! I always feel like my family doesnt care what i say, or they are alwaya ganging up on me. if i express my feelings i feel like they just shut me down. this has pretty much ruined my relationship with my mom. she gets on my nerves so much and is always nagging me, she is hypocritic and always gets mad at me for using "a bad tone" with her. she is always the one using the tone with me tho! For starters I've been smoking cigarettes for 2 and a half years. And I had open heart surgery when I was 16 months old. But it was done bye one of the best doctors at Stanford and it hasn't affected me sense strong and healthy 21 year old male. I cough up phlegm quite a bit. Most of the time when I lean forward just a bit sorta bye the center of my chest on the left side its like a sharp pain like pushing on your ribs. Okay, this is gonna be kinda long. Okay. Well, I moved to anotehr city in 2nd grade. One girl, I'll call her "Cathy" was very nice to me at first. She took me under her wing, and befreinded me. However, she mocked me a few months after that and crushed my confidence. She was my only friend, b/c Cathy wouldn't let anyone become friends with me. I only had her, and all she did was boss me around and bully me. I secretly hated Cathy now, and to top it off, we had absolutly nothing in common. A few years ago, Cathy moved away to a foreign country temporarily. (about a year and a half) During this time, I make new friends, froiends that respected me and were REAL friends. One of these people was "Katie". She and I had a lot in common, and our parents accually knew each other well from PTA meetings. We quickly became good friends, and I knew what it was like to have a REAL best friend. We were always in teh same cles (the gifted cles for bright students) and I knew her sorta. The only reason we hadn't been friends was b/c of Cathy. We were inseperable, having sleepovers and frequent trips to bookstores together (we are not teh mall types, Cathy is) However, Cathy moved back in December of last year, meaning she was coming in the beginnign of the second semester. Katie and I we closer than ever. Now, let me explain something. Cathy and Katie do NOT like eachother. Thsi was a past history. You see, it is complicated, but Cathy bullied Katie too before i came. They still hated eachother. In fact, they never got oevr it. Anyway, CAthy was suprised I had made a bunch of new friends. She got very jelous, b/c I was her only "friend". She made it a point to critisize me in front of Katie. Katie, thencie eprson she is, stood up for me. Cathy got angry. She started to get close to us, like in lunch, and she was always barging into our convorsations. I know she is jelous. I have tried to be ncie to her, even though we have a bad hisrtory (let me give you an example of Clic Cathy; she told on me to the teacher in 3rd grade and 4th grade for ahem "being too weird") She invited me to ehr house, and made excuses to call me. I think that she was so afraid of losing me before she left, and now she has. I know that deep down she is a nice person (I have witnessed is a few times, she found a satry dog and took care of it, for example) so i thought I could ignite that nice Cathy maybe, and then we could all be friends. i tried to invite ehr over and such about a month ago, and no one ever picks up the phone. I tried emailing her, same thing. I have given up. I am pretty sure she hates me, and she is NOT the type of eprson you want to eb hated by. She is VERYnasty. Back and chest pain, im just 17, HELP!!?

hey! so i've been having this chest and backpains at the the left part of my body (backpain is near upper part of torso beside spine.) (chestpain is just below the left ). it starts with a sudden sharp pain, and i wasnt exercising just walking or sitting down and suddenly... the pain comes and it stays for between 5-50mins max... if i try to breathe in or move it hurts more! its been going on for years, last time it comes randomly and occasionally, like one or twice a month? now its becoming more recent, like almost everyday & more painful. i suspect it was from an accident when a heavy wooden door fell on my back... its been 6yrs thou. I have a 2002 Sienna with a knocking noise in the rear brakes?

When braking at low speeds, like pulling up to a stop light, there is a knocking noise coming from the rear. The noise stops when letting off the brakes. I've had the vehicle to the dealer 4 times, finally replacing the rear shoes and resurfacing the drums. On the way home from the dealer, the knocking noise returned. The noise is cylical and corresponds with the wheels turning, but is only present when braking. Any ideas on what this could be? The dealer ures me the brakes are in perfect working order and I don't notice any problem braking, just this noise that recently showed up after having the van for nearly 5 years.

I can relate directly to this as I did both. Theatre was fun ,building sets, goofing off, but I learned a ton of good stuff that I still use today. Vocational Agriculture.(Vo-Ag/ FFA). I had gone to high school in Wattsburg, Pa. Lots of the kids came from rural or farm families and Vo-Ag cl had a fair sized following. In that cl , we had a "farm shop" setup ,learned some basic stick welding ,how to use an o2/ acetylene torch to cut and bend steel ,use a drill press ,stuff you might need on the farm. Also ,we got some practical experience judging soil ,cattle ,setting up snow fence ,and general crop raising information and primary livestock care.It helped me be more self sufficient in general. How do I clean closed head plastic barrels (polyethylene drums)?

I bought some used plastic 35 & 55gallon barrels at the local feed store. They are a closed head configuration and I am trying to figure out a good way to clean them. I am able to use a broom handle with a washcloth to get around the bottom, but this doesn't get the walls very effectively. I am also using a dishsoap solution. Is there a better way? I would like to use a couple of these as rainbarrels, and the 35gallon ones for storing biodiesel.

How do you prepare a fresh green pepper?

Green peppers are delicious. I can eat them raw. You just have to cut it open and cut out all the white and the seeds. Cut off the stem and thats it. You can add them to anything. My favorite dish with them and probably of all time is Pepper Steak. Mmmm. It is super easy to make. I don't know the exacts but it is basically sliced green peppers sliced steak mixed in a large pot with soy sauce and corn starch. put that over steamed white rice and you have a delicious and relatively healthy meal. Where to hang a deer in the city?

We received a rifle from my Grandpa when he ped recently. My husband decided that he wanted to go hunting and maybe we could get some deer meat. He is hunting with my cousin's husband out by Republic, which is out in the middle of nowhere. Hunting there is common. We live in Tacoma however, which is a city and where you don't see people lugging around deer carces. I just heard that you are supposed to hang a deer for two weeks after killing it before you can butcher it. Where is it legal to do that in the city, and does anyone know a good butcher in Tacoma that might cut it up for us for a reasonable fee? Any advice? He should be coming home in a few days and I don't know what we are going to do with a dead deer if he managed to get one.

Ok, can a window tint violation/warning be removed from the mvr after the tint was removed?

2: my mvr shows like 3 or 4 suspensions for not paying a 35/month court cost. but all of the reinstatements are before the date of the suspension date. my lic has never been suspended, not even for a day so how do employers figure this out when they see your mvr. i would think a driving record is exactly that, a driving record. not a place to put a suspension notice because they sent you out a letter saying they may suspend it if you dont pay by this date. I have 3 of these on my mvr and its very annoying cause it looks as if its been suspended but it has not been and if you look at it with a smart eye its easy to see all of the so called suspensions were reinstated before the suspension date because i paid the fees before the date to suspend. Its killing my damn job search. all of this happened for a dumb mistake in college with a dui. i have 1 dui and that is it on my driving record besides a window tint warning mentioned above that i would think can be removed. since i was 16 thats all i have but it look horrible with all the notices to suspend that are on my report. how can i get these things removed. calling the fla dmv? please no jack **** answers this is a serious matter and i dont have time for the losers who respond just to drag people down. The fuel is likely to have pumped out of the carbs when you attempted to start it. A stuck float could also be the cause. As to the battery issue, did you put it back correctly. Negative to Negative (black) and positive to positive (red). If you did and the battery is charged then look for an in line fuse in the wiring to the battery and check and change it. If th ignition light comes on but the atatter does not turn then borrow some jump leads. Connect one to the negative terminal and the other end to the frame. Connect the other lead to the positive and using something like a screwdriver with a plastic or rubber handle, connect the other end to the screwdriver blade. Touch this onto the electric terminal by the starter motor. It should spark and turn over. If it does this then the solenoid has gone and you need to replace it. This is only a test method and should not be used to start the bike usually.

I have serious regrets?

If I was only smarter in my early twenties, I would not be struggling today. I let my parents control me until I was 24. I wished I wasnt so naive. I got a scholarship to go to community college, I finished my ociates degree, and also got a part time job to support myself. Then while I was working on my bachelors, I wanted to transfer to a more established school for a more promising degree in engineering and I also had enough money to move, matter in fact, my scholarship was renewable to my bachelors degree. My parents talked me into staying in town and not transferring so I obeyed my parents and finishing my degree at a vocational school to be close to them, I went to one of those stupid rip off wannabe universities, and graduated with a bachelors. After graduation, I couldnt get a job anywhere because I basically got a degree from mickey mouse university (joking). I got really upset and moved out of my parents home, after 8 months of desperatly searching for a job (living off crackers and rumon noodles). I found a job at this firm, BUT Now I know why this job was available, because nobody lasted a few months. I am not happy at my current job, I stay positive but my self esteem has taken a total hit. I have been searching for jobs again, and not found anything thanks to my degree, and the current economy. I thought about going back to school but I dont have any money, and I dont wanna take on any debt anymore. I am in 4 extra circular and volunteering activities to keep myself busy and uplifted but at the end of the day I have serious regrets and resentment towards myself, and I'm sort of disgusted that all of my cousins who basically didnt even go to school are landing great jobs, starting businesses, they have mentors, and I'm living paycheck to paycheck. ARGH!!!!!!!! Any advice for me? (Please dont tell me Im depressed because treating that costs money too. I dont want more problems I want solutions. I put in so much time and energy to be good productive person yet I have no success).

Overly physical and dangerous playing?

Two friends and i have toddlers the same age. They are 29 months old. The boys play nicely, either on their own or sometimes together, The girl is much more boisterous and physical. Unfortunately, she can't leave the others alone and either grabs at their toys or wrestles them to the ground around their neck. She pushes really hard and they are always crying because she hurts them. She is really dangerous to the baby too, she tries to put large toys on her head and has hurt her. She just doesn't stop moving and laughs even when she is reprimanded for her behaviour. It is so draining to be around and I am in constant fear that she will hurt my son. As I said, he is made to cry by her every time we meet. I don't want to stop meeting up with my friend but it is really stressful for my son and I to go there. She pesters and badgers them all the time, snatching at their toys, putting things on them, hats and so on, pulling on them, sitting on them, squeezing them etc. She runs everywhere and is usually wielding some potentially dangerous toy (ie heavy). What can I do? Should I stop seeing my friend for a while til the daughter calms down?

I'm going to say yes and no. Showing enthusiasm is not bad thing but as you said the short time period that you have worked doesn’t show that you can do the job that you are told to do. I usually just take deep breaths to help me focus and get in the zone. Being nervous is normal. Use that nervous energy positively. When you're nervous you have more adrenline so use that extra energy to project you voice and do whatever blocking you have. Also performing in front of friends/family helps because it gets you used to performing in front of people and you can recieve feedback from them. Remember what you want while you do your audition. Think about how bad you want it and just go for it.

Help with a (rebellious?) teenager?

I certainly remember going through a phase in my teenage years where God knows what could be going through my head at any particular time. But then there's my daughter. She's the oldest of my 3. She's 16 now, and seems to do things like this just to spite me and her father. It started this summer, when she would lay out by and swim in the pool in the nude. The first time I saw her, I just laughed and figured she'd be embared and not do it again. But she did it more and more to where I finally had to go out and tell her to stop cause the neighbors might see. She said there's no windows above the fence. I told her, even so, she's not a little girl anymore, and its disrespectful to let her father see her that way. So I said, "As long as your father and I are home, you have to wear your swimsuit." It stopped for about a week. I threatened to ground her when it started again, but she always says "sorry I didn't know you were home." or makes up some sort of excuse (she's does print modeling as well, and claims her tan has to be perfectly even). The summer ended soon enough, thank God, but the problem didn't stop. Then she began to sleep naked, and consequently come downstairs to grab her midnight snacks or her breakfast in the nude. It's not something you WANT to deal with - bumping into your teenage daughter naked in the kitchen - so i always just look away and try to let her lose interest in it on her own. One final part of this - I know she's a teenager, and I know teenagers masturbate, but I have accidentally walked in on her several times in just the last couple of months, and I have good reason to believe that it's occupying 4-5 hours of her life every day. How do I approach this situation. I'm in over my head.

I'm a field supervisor for a well known security company, and I 'm not sure if I'm being treated differently or just me looking to far into things.Well Ive been working for this company and when I first started the payroll scheduler lady was so nice and sweet, but until a few months ago she has been down right nasty and mean, She will not return my calls whatsoever about anything,I am a supervisor, and I'll call her to confirm stuff with my employees,like time off requests, shift changes, etcand I'll get no phone call, I went and did a discripancy form regarding my check, which is always two hours short, she told me she would correct it, and she hasnt done so, and when I call her, and leave her a voicemail, she ignores my voicemail, and so I did a test, I had other co workers call her, and she promptly their calls, and this has been going on for over two months now..and I'm trying to understand why the change in behavior and attitude what hapenned around that time, and thats when this guy hes a manager, told me to call him anytime, personal, and basically the dude likes me, hes asking different employees about me, whenever a new employee starts working with me they'll tell me he called them for overtime.Now all of a sudden, they want to demote me, and bring me into the office as a Office Adminstrator, where I'll be working in the office with her, and the manager, but shes trying to get me fired, or something..Now the manager guy told me that the human resource lady likes him alot..and so I dont know if they know about our conversation we had about meeting up for coffee, but its just weird that after I talked to him some people in the office started to act weird and funny acting..And even my immediate supervisor ingnores me,(I was told he thinks very highly of me) but when I email him, or call him on his cell phone and leave a message, I get no response whatsoever

What type of filter should i use for my ?

i wanted to get a new filter since i'm getting kind of bored of the same old weak looking power filters with like cartridges and sponges that hang on my tank so i wanted to try a new filter. i wanted to get an undergravel filter but i heard they weren't that great and i once had those filters that like set at the bottom of the tank and some of my fishes heads got stuck in the tube thingy or watever so now i'm thinking about getting a powerhead since they're powerful pumps and have huge suction of water and the sucky thingy is too small to get a fishes head stuck in. what do u think suggestions? i'm not really into the huge external filter even though they're efficient im not using a stand or anything so its kind of hard to look at

Life expectancy for my grandma...please read!?

It is a complicated and long story, but my grandma is dying in the hospital with a whole list of life threatening problems, the most recently discovered being end stage kidney failure. I think she is going to try dialysis. I am 38 weeks pregnant and my parents say she is trying to live to see pictures of my baby once she is born(she is in CA and I am in CO so can't see her in person). She is in her mid to late 80's. Does anybody know how long someone that old with tons of other problems can make it with this kidney disease? Couldn't really find any info online, as I know it depends on many factors.

Why is my 5 mth old feeding every half hour, squeeling and not having many wet nappies?

Last night she wouldn't settle until midnight then she woke screaming every 1/2 - 1 hour all night and the only way to settle her was to feed. This is not normal for her as she has been sleeping all night (11pm - 8am) since 10 weeks. What could it be? She doesn't dribble as much as she used to, she seems to chew everything and I took her to the dr last week as she was playing with her ears alot he said she had a bit of a cold but that was it, a couple of days later she had a high temp in the evenings for 2 days then last night was a nightmare. I started her on solids in the middle of the day 2 weeks ago could this be it? I have checked her gums and really don't think its teething :( Could it be my milk? Should I try her on formula?

I think it's more because the Indian Punjabis have evolved and take pride in themselves where as the Paki Punjabis still live in the stone age. I was in Dubai not to long ago, a very developed and multi-cultural city. Everyone seemed so busy working hard, they dressed nice, drove nice cars. That includes all the cultures there like the local Arabs, Indians, Filipinos, Europeans, but not the Pakis. They stuck out like a sore thumb. They still were wearing there pajama outfits, were filthy dirty, pushing around hand-carts, and staring at everyone else with disgust. While the Indians and others dressed modern in business suits or other modern clothing, used modern machinery to get their jobs done, were very clean, and very nice and helpful. So yeah, in short I would say it's pride and lifestyle that make the Indian Punjabis the better looking of the two.
