Should i send this depressed kid a message?

so this guy on my newsfeed is constantly putting depressing status. its always depressing and i can tell hes really upset about something. he goes to my school and my temple, but i rlly dont no him at all and nvr have a chance to talk 2 him... but should i send him a fb message saying i hope he gets thro w.e hes dealing with? idk lol
