to improve my handling of both pucks and , i tried maneuvering picks/tennis through old chairs, or something with legs ... something that allows to lose control of the puck/ball for a split second and then re-control it. it actually helped me both on the ice and in the gym at floor hockey... hopefully it helps for you. if you wanna take this 1 step further, try running up the chair full speed and dangle around it as if it was a defender.
