Is this a staph infection or std?

A staph infection would have spread a lot more than that over the course of a year. I don't think it's an STI/STD however, your best bet would be to go get it checked anyways. Some infections can cause permanent damage and you don't really want to risk that. Besides, if you are ually active, you should be testing yourself for STDS/STI regularly.
