Move ceiling light to wall light?

Have chain swag light fixture connected to junction box on ceiling over vanity. Want to have fixture attached to wall. This involves a move of about 10" straight over to ceiling-wall joint and about 10" straight down wall. Will I have to remove all drywall in between and notch double ceiling plates? Fish? Help? How? Please, no sarcasm
