The cord from our Tv runs to an outlet in the reach of our infant, any suggestions?

I have a 5 and 6 year old and used to put a blanket over a cord during the day. This was enough to distract them from it during the day, and so you just put it back in the evening. Failing that, as you are, just block it, with furniture.
